“Waitress” has announced casting for the musical’s return engagement starring Sara Bareilles.
In addition to Bareilles, the musical will star Drew Gehling as Dr. Pomatter, Eric Anderson as Cal, Charity Angel Dawson as Becky, Christopher Fitzgerald as Ogie, Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, Dakin Matthews as Joe and Joe Tippett as Earl. All cast members previously starred in “Waitress” during its prior Broadway run.
“Waitress” is scheduled to play the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Broadway from Sept. 2 through Jan. 9.
Houlahan is scheduled to star in “Girl from the North Country” on Broadway starting Oct. 13 and Fitzgerald is announced to star in “Company” starting Nov. 15. Bareilles stars in the role of Jenna Hunterson from Sept. 2 through Oct. 17.
The ensemble for “Waitress” includes Tyrone Davis, Jr., Matt DeAngelis, Andrew Fitch, Henry Gottfried, Molly Jobe, Emily Koch, Max Kumangai, Anastacia McCleskey and Stephanie Torns. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
The musical is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler and features a score by Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, choreography by Lorin Latarro and direction by Diane Paulus.
