Jeremy Jordan will star in the Broadway premiere of “American Son” alongside Kerry Washington, Steven Pasquale and Eugene Lee.
Jordan will play the role of Officer Paul Larkin in the play written by Christopher Demos-Brown. “American Son,” directed by Kenny Leon, begins performances at the Booth Theatre on Oct. 6, 2018.
This is Jordan’s first time appearing in a Broadway play.
“I’ve been dying to return to Broadway for quite some time, and American Son is everything I could ask for: challenging, timely, intimate, and a vast departure
from anything else I’ve ever done,” Jordan said in the press release.
He was last seen on Broadway in 2012 in “Newsies.”
The play takes place at a Florida police station, where a mother is in search of her missing teenage son. It will play a limited engagement at the Booth Theatre, with an opening night on Nov. 4, 2018.
Jeffrey Richards is the lead producer on the show.
