‘Funny Girl’ to host Broadway cast album signing event

Current company members of "Funny Girl," including Lea Michele and Tovah Feldshuh, will host a cast album signing event on Jan. 20 at the August Wilson Theatre from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event coincides with the physical release of the cast recording that day.

Current company members of “Funny Girl,” including Lea Michele and Tovah Feldshuh, will host a cast album signing event on Jan. 20 at the August Wilson Theatre from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event coincides with the physical release of the cast recording that day.

Michele and Feldshuh will be joined by fellow cast members Ramin Karimloo and Jared Grimes for the CD signing event. Attendees are advised to arrive at the theater beginning at 12 p.m. to purchase CDs and receive a wristband to gain entry. Only 800 people will be allowed into the event.

The 22-track cast album, which became available digitally on Nov. 18, was released by Sony Masterworks Broadway, in partnership with Accident Jacket Entertainment and Gemini Theatrical. Produced by David Caddick and David Lai, the cast album features the score by composer Jule Styne and lyricist Bob Merrill. The album is co-produced by Sonia Friedman, Scott Landis, David Babani, Michael Mayer, Brian Gillet, Huck Walton, Sean Keller and Marc Levine.

“Funny Girl” began previews at the August Wilson Theatre on March 26 before officially opening on April 24. The revival is produced by Sonia Friedman, Scott Landis and David Babani.
