White Cherry Entertainment to produce Tony Awards through 2026

Tony Awards Productions has announced that it has renewed its contract with White Cherry Entertainment, which will continue to serve as the production team for the Broadway awards ceremony through 2026.

Tony Awards Productions has announced that it has renewed its contract with White Cherry Entertainment, which will continue to serve as the production team for the Broadway awards ceremony through 2026. White Cherry founders Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner have served as the Tonys’ production team since 2003.

Weiss will continue as executive producer and director and Kirshner will remain the executive producer.

Since 2003, the Tony Awards broadcast has been nominated for 55 Emmy Awards, garnering 19 wins.

On Jan. 11, Weiss and his team earned a Directors Guild of America Award nomination for the 2022 Tony Awards in the category of Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Variety/Talk/News/Sports — Regularly Scheduled Programming.

The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The 76th Annual Tony Awards, honoring the 2022-2023 season, will take place on June 11 at the United Palace Theatre in uptown Manhattan. The ceremony will be broadcast live from the United Palace on CBS and also stream live on Paramount+.
