Broadway Plus, a company that specializes in curating experiences tied to the Main Stem, has acquired Virtual Broadway, a resource for corporate events that feature industry talent. 

The acquisition was finalized and announced on Jan. 5 by Broadway Plus founder and president Nathaniel Hill and Virtual Broadway co-founder and president Margaret Skoglund.

Established in June 2020, Virtual Broadway began offering corporate appreciation events (during which Broadway stars participate in an interactive experience with employees as a work perk or clients as a gift) as well as learning and development opportunities, such as learning presentation and speaking techniques from Broadway talent. The company also coordinated virtual live performances, wellness workshops with performers and more.

Broadway Plus creates customized virtual and in-person group experiences with Broadway artists for companies, social groups, student groups and more. Broadway Plus also has a concierge service that provides VIP packages that combine tickets to a show with an experience. Other services include private coachings, walking tours, backstage tours and travel planning.

Since the COVID pandemic shuttered the industry in 2020, the two organizations have produced more than 2,000 virtual events combined. Together, they have also generated more than $3 million in income for Broadway performers.

“Joining forces allows us to better serve our client base, our employees, and most importantly, the artists that we collaborate with,” said Hill in a statement.

Skoglund added in a statement, “With Broadway’s recovery in full-swing and many Virtual Broadway clients hoping to follow up their virtual event with a fabulous night out in the theater, I sought an expert in live VIP event management and group sales, and the clear choice was Broadway Plus.”
