The new play “Pictures From Home” has delayed the start of its preview period.

Previews are now set to begin on Jan. 13 instead of the previously announced Jan. 10. Opening night remains scheduled for Feb. 9.

Broadway News has learned that the schedule adjustment is due to illness within the company, which caused a delay of rehearsals.

“Pictures From Home” is adapted by Sharr White from the eponymous photo memoir by famed American photographer Larry Sultan. Sultan combines photos from his childhood home in the San Fernando Valley with interviews of his parents to create a fuller portrait.

The play will be directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher. Tony winner Nathan Lane, Tony winner Danny Burstein and Tony nominee Zoë Wanamaker lead the cast. “Pictures From Home” will appear at Studio 54. (It is not a production of Roundabout Theatre Company, which owns the venue).

Jeffrey Richards, Hunter Arnold, Rebecca Gold, Jayne Baron Sherman, Kayla Greenspan and Jacob Soroken Porter lead the producing team.
