Jordan E. Cooper's new play "Ain't No Mo' " will now run through Dec. 23 at Broadway's Belasco Theatre. The production previously announced it would close on Dec. 18; Cooper simultaneously launched a social media campaign called #SaveAintNoMo.

Since Cooper's call to arms, numerous celebrities have brought visibility to the show through their public support; others have bought out performances.

Emmy Award-winning writer Lena Waithe, who is a co-producer on the play, took part in a post-show talkback after the Dec. 13 performance. RuPaul, twelve-time Emmy winner and Tony-winning producer of "A Strange Loop," who is also a co-producer on Cooper's play, hosted the Dec. 15 performance.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade (co-producers of "Ain't No Mo' " through their individual production companies), Queen Latifah, Tyler Perry, Shonda Rhimes and Sara Ramirez have all bought out performances in the past week.

Significant contributions have also been made by Reverend Al Sharpton, Swizz Beatz, D-Nice, Derrick Hayes and Pinky Cole, Jeremy O. Harris (a co-producer of the show), Denée Benton, Debbie Allen and Dominique Morisseau.

By closing, "Ain't No Mo' " will have played 22 preview and 29 regular performances.

"Ain't No Mo' " is produced on Broadway by Lee Daniels.
