‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ announces new Broadway company members

New and returning cast members have been announced for “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” at the Lyric Theatre.

On Nov. 15, Joel Meyers will assume the role of Albus Potter, with Erik C. Peterson as Scorpius Malfoy and Imani Jade Powers as Delphi Diggory; all three actors will be making their Broadway debuts. Also on Nov. 15, Maya Thomas will return to the production, taking over as Rose Granger-Weasley.

Additionally, Rachel Leslie has been announced to play the role of Hermione Granger from Nov. 15, 2022 through Jan. 15, 2023, until Jenny Jules returns to the production.

Thirteen additional company members will be making their Broadway debuts in the ensemble: Chadd Alexander, Ebony Blake, Darby Breedlove, Irving Dyson Jr., Gary-Kayi Fletcher, Eleasha Gamble, Logan James Hall, Abbi Hawk, Chance Marshaun Hill, Nick Hyland, Samaria Nixon-Fleming, Erik Evan Olson and Kiaya Scott.

They will appear alongside a group of current and returning cast members that includes Stephen Spinella, Tom Stephens, Karen Janes Woditsch, Brittany Zeinstra, Kevin Rico Angulo, Chelsey Arce, Quinn Blades, Ted Deasy, Kira Fath, Edward James Hyland, Jax Jackson, Jack Koenig, Spencer LaRue, Alexandra Peter, Dan Piering and William Rhem Jr.

Principal cast members remaining with the production include Steve Haggard as Harry Potter, Angela Reed as Ginny Potter, David Abeles as Ron Weasley and Aaron Bartz as Draco Malfoy.
