Music artist and actor Common has been announced as the final cast member set to appear in the Broadway premiere of “Between Riverside and Crazy.”

Oscar, Emmy and Grammy Award winner Common will take on the role of Junior, the son of Walter “Pops” Washington, to be played by Stephen McKinley Henderson. “Between Riverside and Crazy” will mark Common’s first Broadway credit.

Common joins a previously announced cast that will also include Victor Almanzar, Elizabeth Canavan, Rosal Colón, Liza Colón-Zayas and Michael Rispoli.

Austin Pendleton is set to direct the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Stephen Adly Guirgis.

Previews are scheduled to begin at the Hayes Theater on Nov. 30 ahead of an official opening night on Dec. 19.

“Between Riverside and Crazy” first premiered at Atlantic Theater Company’s Linda Gross Theater in July 2014 and then transferred to Second Stage’s Tony Kiser Theater in February 2015 for an off-Broadway encore. The Broadway engagement is produced under the leadership of Second Stage’s president and artistic director Carole Rothman and executive director Khady Kamara.
