Broadway’s “Girl From The North Country” has been professionally filmed for future use.

The production was filmed in April before its recent reopening on Broadway. The announcement did not reveal how nor when the footage will be available for viewing.

Totally Theatre Productions produced the film, led by Gavin Kalin. Tim van Someren directed.

“Girl From The North Country” is produced by Tristan Baker & Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment.

“Girl From The North Country” first opened on Broadway on March 5, 2020. The production reopened following the industry shutdown on Oct. 13, 2021, and played through Jan. 23, 2022, closing then due to the Omicron surge. The production is currently running once again in a limited engagement at the Belasco Theatre.

“We feel that now was the right time to capture this incredible production,” said producers Baker and Parsons. “This was the right time with the right cast, and everything fell into place perfectly. This story is beautiful and deserves to be seen by audiences all over, even if they can’t make it to the theater. We are starting discussions with distributors to find this film a home.”

Last week, the Broadway production extended its limited run by one week. It will now play through June 19.
