“Mrs. Doubtfire” will record a cast album this week, producer Kevin McCollum announced Monday.

The album will feature the cast that opened the show on Dec. 5, 2021. This means Jake Ryan Flynn, who played Christopher Hillard, and Avery Sell, who played Natalie Hillard, will appear on the album, even though they will not return when the production resumes performances on April 14.

The musical went on hiatus starting January 10, with McCollum citing the production’s inability to stay open amid the rise in Omicron cases and the tough economic environment. The hiatus was originally scheduled to end on March 14, but was later extended a month.

Returning original cast members, who will also be featured on the album, include Rob McClure, Jenn Gambatese, Peter Bartlett, Charity Angél Dawson, Mark Evans, J. Harrison Ghee, Analise Scarpaci and Brad Oscar.
