TodayTix Group announced Wednesday that it has acquired live events directory and ticketing platform Goldstar.

The development marks TodayTix’s fourth acquisition during the pandemic. The ticketing company announced its purchases of London-based ticket seller Encore and review aggregator Show-Score in 2020 and of gamified ticketing site Broadway Roulette in 2021.

TodayTix says the acquisition of Goldstar expands its geographic reach, and allows it to delve into offerings beyond theater, such as sports, concerts and other live events. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

As part of the deal, TodayTix is now an investor in Stellar, a livestream events and ticketing platform created in 2020 by the Goldstar team in response to the forced shift toward virtual events due to the pandemic. Several members of the Goldstar team, including co-founder Jim McCarthy, will move to Stellar to work independently on that product.

“Adding Goldstar to our growing roster of brands and investing in Stellar is going to help our community recover and thrive, and bring the culturally curious back to performances,” said Brian Fenty, chief executive of TodayTix Group.
