Reeve Carney, Eva Noblezada to return to ‘Hadestown’ on Broadway

“Hadestown” has announced its returning Broadway cast, including stars Reeve Carney as Orpheus and Eva Noblezada as Eurydice.

Amber Gray will return as Persephone and Tom Hewitt, who has appeared as Billy Flynn in “Chicago” and Scar in “The Lion King” on Broadway, will join the cast as Hades for a limited engagement. Patrick Page, the original Hades, will return to the role Nov. 2, after finishing a film project.

“Hadestown” is scheduled to return to the Walter Kerr Theatre on Broadway on Sept. 2.

Jewelle Blackman will return as one of the Fates, joined by Jessie Shelton, a former swing in the show, and Mariand Torres.

The chorus of workers will be played by Anthony Chatmon II, Afra Hines, Timothy Hughes, John Krause, Trent Saunders and Kim Steele. The cast includes swings Malcolm Armwood, Adam Hyndman, Tara Jackson, Yael “YaYa” Reich, T. Oliver Reid and Khaila Wilcoxon.

The North American touring production, which begins Oct. 5, will star Nicholas Barasch as Orpheus, Morgan Siobhan Green as Eurydice, Levi Kreis as Hermes, Kimberly Marable as Persephone and Kevyn Morrow as Hades.
