‘Hamilton’ announces cast for Broadway reopening

Miguel Cervantes will return to star in “Hamilton” on Broadway this fall.

Cervantes will star opposite Jin Ha as Aaron Burr, Krystal Joy Brown as Eliza Hamilton, Mandy Gonzalez as Angelica Schuyler and Tamar Greene as George Washington. “Hamilton” is scheduled to begin performances at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Sept. 14.

James Monroe Iglehart will return as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Euan Morton will return as King George II and Fergie L. Philippe will play Hercules Mulligan/James Madison. Aubin Wise will play Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds and Daniel Yearwood will play John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.

The Richard Rodgers Box Office is scheduled to reopen Aug. 2 at 10 a.m.

The ensemble includes Amber Ardolino, Giuseppe Bausilio, Lauren Boyd, Amanda Braun, Erin Elizabeth Clemons, Marc delaCruz, Alexander Ferguson, Jennifer Geller, Christina Glur, Shonica Gooden, Deon’te Goodman, David Guzman, Jennie Harney-Fleming, Thayne Jasperson, Roddy Kennedy, Malik Shabazz Kitchen, Eddy Lee, Johanna Moise, Justice Moore, Preston Mui, Antuan Magic Raimone, Willie Smith III, Gabriella Sorrentino, Gregory Treco, Robert Walters and Ta-Tynisa Wilson.

“Hamilton,” which features a book and score by Lin-Manuel Miranda and direction by Thomas Kail, is one of the early Broadway shows to reopen after the theatrical shutdown. It is joined, on Sept. 14, by “The Lion King,” “Wicked,” “Chicago” and “Lackawanna Blues.”

“Pass Over” is scheduled to begin previews Aug. 4, marking the first Broadway play to return. “Waitress” and “Hadestown” follow on Sept. 2.

“Hamilton” is produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman and The Public Theater.
