The Broadway cast of “Diana” will record a cast album with UMe, a division of Universal Music Group, the musical’s producers announced Monday.

The album will be produced by “Diana” composer David Bryan and by Ian Eisendrath, the show’s musical supervisor and arranger. The cast will record the album a week after the musical’s opening on March 31.

The album is scheduled for release this summer.

“Diana” begins previews at the Longacre Theatre on March 2. Produced by Grove Entertainment, Frank Marshall and the Araca Group, the musical features a book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music and lyrics by Bryan. Christopher Ashley is directing the production.
