Barrett Wilbert Weed will depart the Broadway cast of “Mean Girls” on March 8. She joins fellow original cast members Grey Henson and Kate Rockwell, who will also play their final performances on that date.

Weed originated the role of Janis Sarkisian in the Washington D.C. National Theatre world premiere and the Broadway production of the musical. Olivia Kaufmann, the current standby for Janis and other characters, will assume the role full-time beginning March 10.

Chad Burris, who currently plays Olaf in Broadway’s “Frozen,” will assume the role of Damian Hubbard on March 10. Henson originated the role.

Kaufmann’s casting was announced Thursday and Burris’ Wednesday on the official “Mean Girls” Instagram page.

Erika Henningsen, who plays Cady Heron, is set to depart “Mean Girls” on Feb. 22. No announcements have yet been made about her replacement.
