Matt McGrath has joined the cast of “Girl from the North Country,” replacing the originally announced cast member David Pittu.
McGrath will take over the role of Reverend Marlowe after Pittu left the production due to a scheduling conflict. McGrath comes to the role after Broadway roles in the 1998 revival of “Cabaret” and the 1992 revival of “A Streetcar Named Desire.”
He joins the existing cast including Austin Scott, Jay O. Sanders, Marc Kudisch, Mare Winningham, Colton Ryan, Caitlin Houlahan and Jeannette Bayardelle.
Written and directed by Conor McPherson, “Girl from the North Country” begins previews at the Belasco Theatre on Feb. 7, 2020, with an opening night set for March 5.
