GLAAD has nominated five Broadway productions as part of its 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards.

This year’s Broadway nominees, chosen from productions that opened during 2019, are: “Choir Boy,” “The Inheritance,” “Jagged Little Pill,” “Slave Play” and “What the Constitution Means to Me.”

The awards are meant to honor “fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community and the issues that affect their lives.”

The Broadway category returned to the GLAAD Awards this year for the first time since 2014.

The ceremonies will be held in New York on March 19, 2020 and in Los Angeles on April 16.
