Broadway-bound “Six” is expanding its empire to the sea.

The concert-style musical, about the wives of Henry VIII, will run aboard three of the Norwegian Cruise Line ships beginning next month. The musical will play the Norwegian Bliss ship on Sept. 1, 2019, the Norwegian Breakaway on Nov. 10, 2019 and the Norwegian Getaway on April 23, 2020.

This adds on to a number of planned productions before the planned Broadway run this spring. “Six” will play A.R.T this fall, followed by a stop in Edmonton, Canada from Nov. 2 through Nov. 24 and a run in St. Paul, Minn. from Nov. 29 through Dec. 22.

Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the Broadway musical is produced by Andy and Wendy Barnes, George Stiles, Kenny Wax and Kevin McCollum.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Norwegian Cruise Line to showcase this award-winning musical for the first time at sea,” Wax said in the press release.

The musical made its North American premiere in Chicago in May and recently announced it will return to Chicago in July 2020.

“Six” is also currently running on the West End and has a U.K. tour launching this fall as well as a planned production in Sydney in January.
