“Wicked” will welcome a handful of new principal cast members this May.
Beginning May 24, three members of the musical’s national tour will join the Broadway company. Talia Suskauer will take over as Elphaba, Cleavant Derricks will assume the role of The Wizard and Clifton Davis will play the role of Doctor Dillamond.
In addition, James D. Gish will assume the role of Fiyero and Mikayla Renfrow will take over the role of Nessarose. Both will be making their Broadway debuts.
Current principals Lindsay Pearce, Michael McCormick, Sam Gravitte, Mili Diaz and Michael X. Martin will play their final performances on May 22.
Brittney Johnson, Sharon Sachs and Jordan Barrow will remain in their respective roles as Glinda, Madame Morrible and Boq.
