On Nov. 28, Macy’s celebrated its 98th annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. Broadcast on NBC and Peacock, the first hour of parade coverage featured performances from three currently running Broadway shows: “Hell’s Kitchen,” the 2024 Tony Award-winning Best Musical “The Outsiders” and the newly opened “Death Becomes Her.” Later in the parade, Idina Menzel sang from her upcoming musical, “Redwood,” atop a new Bronx Zoo float.
“Hell’s Kitchen” plays at Broadway’s Shubert Theatre, “The Outsiders” runs at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre with “Death Becomes Her” at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. “Redwood” will begin performances at the Nederlander Theater on Jan. 24, 2025, ahead of an official opening night of Feb. 13.
