The 2024 revival of “The Wiz” has dropped a music video for the act-one closer “Be a Lion” featuring Nichelle Lewis as Dorothy and Kyle Ramar Freeman as the Lion.
Following previews that began on March 29, “The Wiz” opened on April 17 at the Marquis. The production concluded its limited engagement on Aug. 18. Prior to its Broadway bow, the musical toured the country; the national tour will resume in February 2025. An original cast album was released in July.
