On Aug. 12, more than 1,000 New York residents came together in Central Park for the Public Theater’s Public Works event “Let’s Hear It for New York! An Unforgettable Dance Experience.” People who took part learned Camille A. Brown’s Tony Award-nominated choreography to Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” from the Broadway musical “Hell’s Kitchen,” which made its world premiere at the Public Theater in advance of its Main Stem run.
