On Aug. 1, Good Morning America featured a performance from Broadway’s “Moulin Rouge!” Aaron Tveit and Joanna “JoJo” Levesque, who recently returned to the musical in the starring roles of Christian and Satine, respectively, dueted on “Elephant Love Song Melody,” and then joined the ensemble for “Shut Up and Raise Your Glass.”

Featuring a book by John Logan, direction by Alex Timbers and choreography by Sonya Tayeh, “Moulin Rouge!” is based on the 2001 film of the same name. The production opened on July 25, 2019, and went on to win 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The production recouped its investment in 2022.
