Victoria Cairl, a former senior vice president at Show-Score, has been hired as the executive director of Apples and Oranges Arts, an incubator for developing new theater works.
Cairl was previously the senior vice president of strategic partnerships at Show-Score, providing Broadway producers with data-driven insights from the site. She will continue to advise Show-Score during her transition to the new role at Apples and Oranges.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Vic to merge her business and creative interests in service of early-career artists,” said Tom Melcher, founder of Show-Score. “Vic has been an integral part of Show-Score’s journey so far, which is why we’re delighted by our continued collaboration.
Before joining Show-Score, Cairl worked at Lincoln Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Disney Theatrical, Allied Live and Serino-Coyne.
Apples and Oranges applies a startup accelerator model to the creation of shows, helping with creative development and funding.
“Her startup experience, along with her knowledge of marketing and audiences will accelerate the incubation of the next generation of great storytellers,” said Tim Kashani, co-founder of Apples and Oranges Arts.
