Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort have teamed with the upcoming motion picture adaptation of Broadway’s “Wicked.” Both theme parks will offer an immersive experience, set to launch in late October.

At the Universal Orlando experience, guests will traverse the yellow brick road for stops in various “Wicked” locations, such as Shiz University and the Emerald City. Costumes and props from the film will be on display. The Hollywood experience will also feature costumes and props as well as specific photo opportunities. Both locations will offer “Wicked”-themed dining experiences. Additionally, Voodoo Doughnuts and the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen will have limited-edition menu items for sale at both locations.

The theme parks will also offer new merchandise, including a Shiz University line of school supplies. Design studio MinaLima has created custom “Wicked” graphics and prints, which will be available on clothing items, home goods and accessories.

This immersive experience is one of many recently announced partnerships and activations from the “Wicked” film. Aerie has created a custom “Wicked” clothing line, Betty Crocker has released a set of color-revealing baking mixes, Mattel created a set of dolls and Lego has offered four “Wicked” buildable sets.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, “Wicked” will be released in two parts; the first will premiere in cinemas on Nov. 22. The movie will feature Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard and Marissa Bode as Nessarose.
