The musical adaptation of “Tootsie” has chosen the Marquis Theatre as its Broadway home.
After playing a “Chicago” engagement, the musical will begin previews at the Marquis Theatre on March 29, 2019 and open on April 23. The company is led by Santino Fontana, Lilli Cooper and Sarah Stiles.
David Yazbek wrote an original score for the musical, which features a book by Robert Horn and choreography by Denis Jones. Scott Ellis is the director.
Scott Sanders Productions is producing.
“Tootsie” will play the Cadillac Theatre in Chicago from Sept. 11 to Oct. 14.
