Tempo by Hilton Times Square, a theater district hotel, has announced a partnership with the Broadway musical “Maybe Happy Ending.” The partnership includes special-priced tickets to the Will Park and Hue Aronson tuner, as well as exclusive dining options to complete a dinner-and-a-show evening. Opened in 2023, Tempo is located at the intersection of 47th Street and Broadway in Manhattan, a few blocks from “Maybe Happy Ending”’s 44th Street home at the Belasco Theatre.

Available to all guests at Tempo, attendees will be able to purchase “Maybe Happy Ending” tickets using a unique-to-Tempo discount code to a weekday performance of their choice. Tempo’s in-house bar and restaurant, Highball, will offer a Broadway prix-fixe menu to ticketholders. The specialty fare will include the eatery’s signature Brick Chicken (confit chicken served with delicata and butternut squash), salmon, roasted beets, cheesecake, chocolate crunch cake and more, all of which will be paired with one of Highball’s cocktails (both alcoholic and “free-spirited”).

The “Maybe Happy Ending” partnership has been available since Jan. 14 and will continue for guests staying at Tempo through Feb. 28, however guests may select a performance of the musical through Sept. 7.

The program with “Maybe Happy Ending” marks a continuation of the hotel’s ongoing Broadway partnership, which began with 2024’s “Ben Platt: Live at the Palace.” Beyond a 15 percent special discount on tickets to all guests, the kickoff endeavor also featured a VIP package comprising two tickets paired with a private meet-and-greet with Platt, a one-night stay at Tempo and exclusive merchandise. A partnership with “Tammy Faye” followed.

Tempo plans to continue partnering with additional productions on the Rialto, acknowledging the elevated experience a Broadway show can add to a visitor’s stay. “Being in the heart of the theater district, it was important for Tempo by Hilton, a brand designed for the rhythm of life, to become integrated with nearby theaters and shows,” the hotel’s director of marketing Matthew Belsito told Broadway News via email. “We kicked off with Ben Platt’s residency at the Palace Theatre, which sits directly under the hotel, and are excited to now offer our guests ticket deals for ‘Maybe Happy Ending’ along with our pre-theater menu.”

Tempo’s Broadway initiative marks the continuation of a growing trend of local lodgings developing relationships with Main Stem offerings. In August 2024, Hilton New York Times Square launched its “‘Lion King’ Royal Suite,” while the Refinery Hotel launched a “Girls’ Night Out” partnership with Broadway’s “& Juliet.”

Featuring a book by Aronson and Park, “Maybe Happy Ending” stars Darren Criss and Helen J Shen as two Seoul-based robots searching for purpose and connection as they face obsolescence. Michael Arden directs the new musical, which opened on Nov. 12, 2024.
