In celebration of Broadway’s return this fall following the shutdown of theaters, a new three-day festival, “Curtain Up!,” has been planned for Sept. 17-19 in Times Square.
Produced by Playbill, in collaboration with the Broadway League and the Times Square Alliance, the festival will include interactive experiences, discussion panels and performances.
The festival will culminate with a large concert, which will celebrate “the entirety of the Broadway industry in the heart of Times Square,” as the press release describes.
Additional details about the festival’s lineup and schedule are expected over the coming weeks.
