“The Wiz” has announced it will resume touring in 2025. The previously announced musical will finish its pre-Broadway tour on March 3 at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, and is set to begin previews on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre on March 29. Now, it has been announced the Schele Williams-directed production will play a limited run through Aug. 18 before continuing on the road beginning in February 2025.

While the beginning of the 2025 tour itinerary has not yet been reported, “The Wiz” will play Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, from Sept. 9 to 21, 2025. Additional cities for the 2025 leg of the tour will be announced at a later date.

The pre-Broadway tour opened on Sept. 23, 2023, at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland. The tour will have played 13 cities before landing on the Main Stem.
