Producers have announced the full creative team for the upcoming Broadway production of “The Wiz,” which will embark on a national tour later this year before landing on the Main Stem in 2024.
The production will feature scenic design by Oscar winner Hannah Beachler, costume design by Emmy Award winner Sharen Davis, lighting design by Ryan J. O’Gara and wig design by Oscar winner Mia Neal.
As previously announced, the production will be directed by Schele Williams with choreography by JaQuel Knight.
Casting, by Tara Rubin, is yet to be announced.
The musical will feature the original book by William F. Brown and original score by Charlie Smalls and others. Additional material will be provided by Amber Ruffin with music supervision, orchestrations and music arrangements by Joseph Joubert.
“The Wiz” is produced by Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson, Brian Anthony Moreland and Ambassador Theatre Group.
