Jen Silverman’s comedy “The Roommate” canceled performances on Sept. 28 and 29 due to cast illness within the company. The two-hander opened on Sept. 12, starring Mia Farrow and Patti LuPone.
The production, directed by Jack O’Brien, previously canceled performances on Sept. 14, when Farrow was out with COVID. Marsha Mason, a Broadway veteran and four-time Academy Award-nominated actor, stood in for Farrow, who returned to the show on Sept. 19.
At the time of publication, producers have not announced any further cancellations.
“The Roommate” continues its limited run at the Booth Theatre. It is produced by Chris Harper, Nelle Nugent and Kenneth Teaton.
