James Vincent Meredith will join the company of “The Minutes” for the production’s final four weeks on Broadway.
He succeeds K. Todd Freeman in the role of Mr. Blake beginning June 25.
Meredith has appeared on Broadway in “The Skin of Our Teeth” and “The Book of Mormon.”
He previously appeared in the original production of the Tracy Letts-penned play in 2017 at Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago.
The current cast also includes Ian Barford, Blair Brown, Cliff Chamberlain, Tracy Letts, Danny McCarthy, Jessie Mueller, Sally Murphy, Austin Pendleton, Noah Reid and Jeff Still.
Producers also announced that the production is on track to raise more than $160,000 for the Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund. A portion of ticket sales has been benefitting the organization.
“The Minutes” opened at Studio 54 on April 17 for a 16-week limited engagement through July 24. The producing team is led by Jeffrey Richards and Rebecca Gold.
