‘The Last Five Years’ announces full creative team

The Jason Robert Brown musical comes to Broadway in spring 2025.

Producers Seaview, ATG Productions and the Season have announced the full creative team for the Broadway production of “The Last Five Years.” As previously reported, the Jason Robert Brown musical is set to begin previews on March 18, 2025, ahead of an opening night of April 6 at the Hudson Theatre. The limited engagement is scheduled to run through June 22.

Directed by Whitney White, the production will feature choreography by Tony Award nominees Jeff Kuperman and Rick Kuperman, recognized for their choreography of “The Outsiders.”

“The Last Five Years” will feature scenic design by three-time Tony Award winner David Zinn, most recently awarded for his work on “Stereophonic,” and costume design by Tony winner Dede Ayite, celebrated for her work on “Jaja’s African Hair Braiding.”

Lighting design will be by Stacey Derosier, marking Derosier’s Broadway debut. Sound design will be provided by Tony winner Cody Spencer, who took home the Tony for “The Outsiders.” Academy Award winner Mia Neal will serve as hair and wig designer. Cody Renard Richard will be the production stage manager.

As previously announced, Grammy and Golden Globe Award nominee Nick Jonas and Tony Award winner Adrienne Warren will lead as Jamie and Cathy in the two-hander.
