Matthew Lopez’s “The Inheritance” will transfer to Broadway this fall.

The two-part play, which had a West End run in September 2018, will begin previews at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Sept. 27, 2019, with an opening night set for Nov. 17.

The play is directed by Stephen Daldry, who directed “Billy Elliot” and “The Audience” on Broadway, and produced by Tom Kirdahy, Sonia Friedman Productions and Hunter Arnold.

Lopez’s play, which won four Olivier Awards including best play, updates E.M. Forster’s novel “Howards End” and brings it to modern day New York, where it follows three generations of gay men.

The design team includes scenic and costume designer Bob Crowley, lighting designer Jon Clark, sound designers Paul Arditti and Christopher Reid and music by Paul Englishby.

Broadway casting will be announced at a later date. On the West End, the cast included Vanessa Redgrave, John Benjamin Hickey, Andrew Burnap, Paul Hilton, Samuel H. Levine, Hugo Bolton, Robert Boulter, Hubert Burton, Syrus Lowe, Michael Marcus, Kyle Soller and Michael Walters.
