Telecharge will issue automatic refunds for tickets purchased to shows between March 12 and April 12.
This policy follows the announcement Thursday that all Broadway theaters would close due to coronavirus for the next month.
The ticketing agency stated on its website that all tickets purchased for the canceled performances by credit card, whether online or at the box office, will be automatically refunded back to the patron’s card.
The company instructed those who paid for tickets in cash to visit the appropriate box office to receive a refund. According to Telecharge, theater box offices will remain open during regular business hours for the duration of the shutdown.
The policy will apply to Broadway tickets at Shubert theaters as well as tickets purchased to Off-Broadway shows at New World Stages.
Lincoln Center also announced in an email that tickets to its Broadway production, “Flying Over Sunset” and its two Off-Broadway productions will be automatically refunded from their point-of-purchase. Tickets purchased with cash can be refunded or exchanged at the box office for a performance on or after April 13.
