Tamar Climan, co-founder of Richards/Climan Inc., is launching a new company as an independent producer, Climan announced Tuesday.
Climan is currently working with Hal Luftig as executive producer on “Children of a Lesser God,” and she will work as executive producer on “Heart of Rock and Roll,” scheduled to premiere at The Old Globe in San Diego and consulting producer of “Jagged Little Pill” at The American Repertory Theater in Cambridge.
The new venture comes after David Richards announced the rebranding of Richards/Climan Inc. to RCI Theatricals, which he now leads as president.
Alongside Richards, Climan managed more than 80 Broadway, off Broadway and touring shows.
“I look forward to using all of that experience to inspire and support great writers, directors, designers and actors within this community in an art form I so love,” Climan said in the press release. “As for David, he was the greatest partner I could have asked for, and I am very happy that I’ll get to keep working with him in this new capacity.”
