“Swept Away” will drop its original Broadway cast album on Feb. 7, 2025. The record will be available for digital download, with a physical CD release scheduled for early 2025 through Joy Machine Records.
Produced by Brian Usifer, Chris Miller, Will Van Dyke and Madison Wells Live, the “Swept Away” cast album will feature music and lyrics by the Avett Brothers.
The Broadawy cast is led by John Gallagher Jr., Stark Sands and Adrian Blake Enscoe. Rounding out the company are Josh Breckenridge, Hunter Brown, Matt DeAngelis, Cameron Johnson, Brandon Kalm, Rico LeBron, Michael J. Mainwaring, Orville Mendoza, Chase Peacock, Tyrone L. Robinson, David Rowen and John Sygar. Swings include John Michael Finley and Robert Pendilla.
A behind-the-scenes look at the making of the album will be available for streaming via the show’s website.
“Swept Away” tells the story of a crew of sailors whose lives are forever changed after their ship capsizes during a perilous whaling expedition. The production, directed by Michael Mayer, features a book by John Logan.
