‘Sunset Boulevard’ cancels April 23 matinée performance due to technical issues

The revival is planning to resume for its evening performance.

The April 23 matinée performance of Broadway’s “Sunset Boulevard” revival was canceled, a representative for the production confirmed.

“The matinée was canceled due to technical issues with the show’s sound system,” the representative told Broadway News. “The show is expected to resume this evening.”

Directed by Jamie Lloyd and starring Nicole Scherzinger in the central role of Norma Desmond, this revival began previews on Sept. 28, 2024, and opened on Oct. 20 at the St. James Theatre. The production is scheduled to conclude its run on July 13.

“Sunset Boulevard” is produced by the Jamie Lloyd Company, ATG Productions, Michael Harrison for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals and Gavin Kalin Productions by arrangement with The Really Useful Group Ltd.
