Stephen Kaus moves into leadership role with theatrical design firm Hudson

The industry veteran previously worked at Manhattan Theatre Club.

Stephen Kaus has joined the theatrical design firm Hudson as its managing director/incoming CEO.

Prior to his new post, Kaus served as director of artistic producing with Manhattan Theater Club. Across his two decades with the not-for-profit, Kaus lent his talents to a variety of productions, from his early days as the stage manager of 2004’s “Match” to the 2023-2024 Broadway season overseeing artistic producing for Tony Award-nominated stagings of “Jaja’s African Hair Braiding,” “Prayer for the French Republic” and “Mary Jane.”

Hudson is comprised of Hudson Scenic Studios (custom fabrication and automation) and Hudson Theatrical Associates (technical supervision and production management). The company provides integrated services and comprehensive solutions. Hudson’s Broadway portfolio includes contributions to “American Utopia,” “Hadestown,” “Chicago,” “The Wiz,” “The Lion King,” “Suffs” and more.
