The play’s opening night, originally scheduled for Jan. 12, was twice delayed due to the detection of breakthrough COVID-19 cases in the company. The production postponed its first preview by a week in December and canceled performances from Jan. 1 through Jan. 9.

Performances are scheduled to resume Tuesday.

“Skeleton Crew” is written by Dominique Morriseau and directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson. The cast includes Phylicia Rashad, Chanté Adams, Joshua Boone, Brandon J. Dirden and Adesola Osakalumi. The production, which is running at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, is currently scheduled to run through Feb. 20.
