The new musical comedy “Shucked” has had its highest-grossing week to date. The production — which is newly nominated for nine Tony Awards — grossed $712,755, a 15% increase from the previous week, and played to 94% capacity, up 7%.
For the week ending May 14, the 35 productions running grossed $31,284,005, a 4% increase from the previous week. Capacity was at 85%, an increase of 1%.
“The Lion King,” “Hamilton” and “Sweeney Todd” were the three top-grossing productions. Only six productions played to 95% capacity or greater, while 12 played to 80% or less. Of those 12, seven played to 70% or less.
