The Shubert Organization has agreed to acquire attraction ticketing provider Showtickets.com from Entertainment Benefits Group.
As part of the acquisition, announced Tuesday, Shubert will offer tours, activities and hotel accommodations through its marketing communications and later through its ticketing platform Telecharge.com. The Shubert Organization has been a shareholder in Entertainment Benefits Group since 2014.
“The Showtickets.com URL is exciting to us as we continue to invest in our online user and ticket buying experience,” said Charles Flateman, executive vice president at Shubert. “We are very enthusiastic about adding more value for our customers and introducing New York tours, attractions and hotels to our customers throughout their Broadway buying experience.”
Showtickets.com was acquired by Entertainment Benefits Group in 2009. It sells tickets to attractions in New York, including Madame Tussauds New York and the Empire State Building, as well as in Las Vegas and Orlando.
