Shaina Taub has joined Sir Elton John in writing the score for the musical adaptation of “The Devil Wears Prada.”
The musical, which is “in development for Broadway,” features also features a book by Paul Rudnick. Kevin McCollum, Fox Stage Productions and Rocket Entertainment are producing.
‘Writing songs with Elton John is a joy and an honor. ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ is one of my all-time favorite movies. I’m thrilled to join this amazing team in bringing this story about two complex and brilliant women to the stage,” Taub said in the press release.
“It’s great working with Shaina,” John said. “We’re all having a blast and I’m delighted with the way the show is shaping up.”
Dates for future performances and other creative team members will be announced at a later date, according to the press release.
Taub created the Public Works’ productions of “As You Like It” and “Twelfth Night,” and is writing a new musical about the American women’s suffrage movement.
