The Drama League have revealed a pair of co-hosts for the 2025 nominations announcement. Sarah Hyland and Orville Peck will share the nominations at a previously announced ceremony on April 22 at 11 a.m. at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
Hyland returned to Broadway in February, taking over the role of Daisy Buchanan in “The Great Gatsby.” The “Modern Family” star made her Broadway debut in 2006’s “Grey Gardens” and recently finished a stint playing Audrey in the Off-Broadway revival of “Little Shop of Horrors.”
Peck, who is known for his country music albums “Pony,” “Bronco” and “Stampede,” is slated to return to his theater roots this spring as the Emcee in the revival of “Cabaret.” Peck made his West End debut in “Peter Pan Goes Wrong.”
The Drama League Awards honor both Broadway and Off-Broadway productions in the following competitive categories: Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, Outstanding Direction of a Play and Outstanding Direction of a Musical . The Drama League bestows one acting honor: the Distinguished Performance Award.
Additionally, the 2025 awards will honor the previously announced Lea Salonga, Whitney White, Robert Greenblatt and Neil Meron, as well as Kate Navin and Audible Theater with special, noncompetitive awards.
Winners will be announced at the 91st annual Drama League ceremony, which will be held on May 16 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom.
The Drama League operates under the leadership of artistic director Gabriel Stelian-Shanks and executive director Bevin Ross.
