Sara Bareilles is coming back to Broadway.
The songwriter of “Waitress” is returning to show Jan. 16 to star as “Jenna.” Jason Mraz, currently playing Dr. Pomatter, extended his run until Jan. 28.
Bareilles will be in the role for six weeks, replacing Betsy Wolfe, who previously announced she was leaving Jan. 9.
“I will be alongside my friend and resident Dr. Pomatter, Jason Mraz, for a mini miracle of schedules aligning for his final two weeks in the show… and then I’ll be serving up pie through February and loving every minute of it,” Bareilles said in the press release.
“Waitress” opened April 24, 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Bareilles made her Broadway debut earlier this year, when she originally went into the production to star as Jenna.
In addition to Wolfe and Mraz, the cast currently includes Eric Anderson, Maia Nkenge Wilson, Christopher Fitzgerald, Caitlin Houlahan, John Cullum and Will Swenson.
Correction: A previous version of this article included incorrect information that was provided about Wolfe’s last day in the production. She is leaving Jan. 9.
