‘Romeo + Juliet’ and ‘Sunset Boulevard’ play to capacity crowds in first week; Broadway’s box office bounces back

For the week ending Sept. 29, the 32 currently running productions grossed $26,449,033

Broadway’s box office saw a sizable boost in both gross and attendance during week 19 of the 2024-2025 season. Collective gross for the 32 currently running productions came to $26,449,033 for the week ending Sept. 29, representing a 4.6% increase from the previous week, when 29 shows were playing. Attendance grew 3.8% from the week ending Sept. 22, totalling 234,963 admissions. Available seats in theaters were filled to 86.6% capacity, up 2.2% from the week prior.
