‘Redwood’ does boffo business in first week while overall box office declines

For the week ending Jan. 26, the 29 currently running productions grossed $29,614,804.

Broadway’s overall gross and attendance dipped during week 36 of the 2024-2025. The former, however, had a much larger decrease: The 29 productions playing during the week ending Jan. 26 took in $29,614,804, an 11.3% drop from the week prior (the week ending Jan. 19, when the same number of shows were offered). There was a much softer dip in attendance, with 246,230 total admissions marking only a 1.8% drop from the previous week. Capacity remained consistent (up 0.5%), with 91.5% of available seats filled.
