Erika Jayne will return to the Broadway musical “Chicago” as Roxie Hart in 2025. Jayne, whose previous engagement in the role was cut short by the Broadway shutdown in 2020, will reprise her performance for a three-week engagement from Jan. 20 through Feb. 9 at the Ambassador Theatre. Jayne will replace longtime “Chicago” player Bianca Marroquin, whose current run as Roxie will end on Jan. 19.

Also newly announced is that Max von Essen, Tony-nominated for “An American in Paris,” will return to “Chicago” as Billy Flynn on Dec. 23; von Essen took a hiatus from the musical last month after a year-long run. He will replace Sebastián Yatra, whose limited engagement in the revival will conclude as planned on Dec. 22.

Most known for her turn on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Jayne launched her professional singing career in 2007 with the release of her debut single “Roller Coaster,” which reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play chart. In 2023, Jayne played a Las Vegas residency titled “Bet It All on Blonde.” Jayne performed on the 24th season of “Dancing with the Stars” and released her first book, “Pretty Mess,” in 2019.

The current principal cast of “Chicago” also includes Kimberly Marable as Velma Kelly, Red Concepción as Amos Hart and NaTasha Yvette Williams as Matron “Mama” Morton. Casting for “Chicago” is by ARC/Duncan Stewart.

Directed by Walter Bobbie, choreographed by Ann Reinking and music-directed by Rob Fisher, “Chicago” features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, lyrics by Ebb and music by John Kander. Winner of six 1997 Tony Awards, “Chicago” is the longest-running revival and the longest-running American musical in Broadway history.

“Chicago” is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler.
