Ramin Karimloo and Jane Lynch will star in the Broadway revival of “Funny Girl” alongside Beanie Feldstein.
Karimloo, who has previously appeared in “Les Misérables” and “Anastasia” on Broadway, will play Nick Arstein and Lynch, who appeared in “Annie” on Broadway and “Glee,” will play Mrs. Rosie Brice. Jared Grimes, who recently starred in the Broadway production of “A Soldier’s Play,” will play Eddie Ryan.
The revival, directed by Michael Mayer, is scheduled to begin performances at the August Wilson Theatre on March 26, 2022, ahead of an April 24 opening.
“Funny Girl” features a revised book by Harvey Fierstein, choreography by Ellenore Scott, tap choreography by Ayodele Casel and scenic design by David Zinn.
Additional casting and creative team members will be announced at a later date. Tickets for the engagement go on sale Friday, with a presale starting Wednesday.
